The Treasure Seekers
University professor John Grant discovers a hidden compartment in his desk, which contains a notebook entitled, Learned Dissertation of the Influence between Astrology and Religion written 250 years before by the treasurer of the Stuart cause, Sir John Kinnaird of Westerhouse, Scotland. The hunt for the treasure takes him all over Scotland, and several times his life is in danger from three rogues who also want the treasure. The book culminates in his finding the Jacobite treasure that has lain hidden since the 1745 Uprising that led to Sir John Kinnaird being hung, drawn and quartered in 1746. In the search he finds love again after the death of his wife some year earlier. The find is declared trove and John ends up a wealthy man in more than money.
